So as I write this, I’m busy abusing the replay button on the song countdown by Beyonce! I’ve always felt like once in a while this lady just decides to throw everything out and just pretty much have fun when writing her music and creating her videos and probably decides you know what, I’m not queen bee, today I’m just Beyonce, singing in the shower..
Oh well those are just my thoughts, probably slightly far fetched, but long story short looking at it at that angle makes me believe life is all about breaking from routine and having a little bit of fun, channeling the fun side inside you. No, I’m not comparing myself to the talented Beyonce (though I do admire how much of a powerhouse she is and her success story) however I’d love to draw a similarity on how I love going about my fashion and style, Once in a while I love to spell out fun, outgoing and funky in my style. Shelf the whole serious corporate look and just try having fun with what I have in my wardrobe.
In this case, I chose to wear a tulle skirt over a dress I bought at Woolworths on an unimaginable sale whose price tag excitement probably got me picking a size smaller,
or maybe I’ve just gained a bit of weight. I also tried out this hairdo I’ve been dying to wear and paired it with my new favorites in my shoe collection. There was certainly no better excuse to wear my purple lipstick than this outfit! I actually realized after the shoot that it matched my sunglasses! how cool! hahaha!
So ladies don’t let that fun, funky side of you die down because of a boring routine. Have fun sometimes, dress up a bit, some street fashion would do..remember Ralph Lauren once said ‘Fashion is about something that comes from within you’, so channel that fun side in you.
